PS3 80GB console now available

The latest release from Sony is the 80GB PS3 console.  This console retails for $699, which is the same price as the 40GB console.  The new console comes with twice the hard drive memory capacity and also a dual shock controller.  However, this console is not backwards compatible with PS2 games - the only console released in Australia that is compatible with PS2 games was the first release 60GB console which has since been discontinued brand new.
